Wash your hands!

Good night! There are so many of you out sick. I think we should hand out surgical masks or do virtual school by computer until all of this passes. For those of you who are out, here's the schedule:

Monday in class
  • Get notes on Monday's lecture when we discussed Dionysus
  • We did not have a quiz on Monday, but your take home crossword puzzle was due as a 23 point quiz grade. Please turn that in upon your return to school
  • Monday night's homework: read pages 70-79

Tuesday in class
  • If you were absent, you will be responsible for a take home quiz
  • Get notes from the lecture on the Fates, themes (definition) and the main theme we discussed today which was The Dominance of Fate. Very important material (hint, hint).
  • Also discussed Prometheus and we started Pandora (not the brightest chick in the world, but quick reflexes).
  • Tuesday homework: read pages 82-84 and 90-92 (skipping 85-89)
Wednesday in class
  • The inevitable quiz
  • We'll finish Pandora and discuss Deucalion.
  • We'll start Helios, Pan and Echo
  • Homework Wednesday night: Read 96-101

Thursday in class
  • Guess what? We're having a quiz.
  • Catch up on topics not covered.
  • Review for test
  • Homework: study for test on Friday

Friday in class:
  • Test II over stories on pages 38-101 (excluding skipped pages)
  • Will post more information regarding the test asap
  • Homework: read 102-107, 112-113
Special recognition goes to Kenton Wong and Emily Conrad, winners of the Starbucks gift cards, for their work on the What-I-Wish-I-Had-Known-Going-Into-7th Grade Essay . Also, Amy Hall and Brennan Jones did a great job as well and were rewarded with a big handful of candy. (As a mother and registered dietitian, I want you to know it does pain me to type that).

See you tomorrow!
Mrs. Dixon
